Engine fitting kits are the best deal he has
Imagine you can fit sr or ca to a 1200 not to
mention the price includes gearbox mounts so
what more can you ask for from a small business!

Well maybe a bellhousing kit to use T5, W or other
common rwd 5 speed boxes for the A series as the
t series boxes are now rare and expensive

maddat stuff is great ,if you have the money ,and as peviously said you get what you pay for !

personaly i havent bought anything because i am too tight to buy premade stuff ,and i realy enjoy making stuff work and im doing it on a budget

plus being my age i want to learn what ever i can ,so trying different parts on my car and adapting different stuff is what i like to do ,although if i had the cash sitting for maddat stuff i would of bought it all by now

and as for people tghinking its too dear ,try doing it from home and ending up wuth a product that is as refined as the items scott sells ,and what most people dont understand is that scott doesnt do it for "fun" he has to pay bills and make a living too

plus low output means more costly products

Scott went out of his way to help with parts, upgrading my controll arms to adjustable ones at a very reasonable price. thanx very much mate!
All producta are of a high quality, like most things in the world you pay for what you get!
scott has helped me out a fair bit, given me advice and pointed me in the right direction... really appreciate it bud!

well i am really a diy fabrication kind of guy. if i can do it i will even if it mean i have to sit and learn how to do it and troubleshoot i will. but when it comes to maddat they offer a great service to anyone without the mechanical knowledge to do it themselves. and as its been said what other older cars can you get off the shelf performance parts?

I have only just seen these posts, and at the start was a bit annoyed with it, but as i read on my my worries changed.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and these fourms are great for that, i have do it myself. I try not to insult or offend people, or make statments that arnt true as that helps nobody.

I would like to thank everyone that has said nice things about there experiances with dealing with Tamra and Myself, and for the parts they have recived. We are a small family buisness trying our best to produce the highest of quality products for the small Datsun market, for the various makes and models. We aim to provide a service for the DIYers out there, by selling components as well as complete packages.
Not every one has the equipment, time, ability, or want to build everything from scratch. Not forgetting designing, trialing, engeneering, manufacturing, then marketing, selling, and shipping the products, and warrant.

And i am going to start working on some components for the 1000 people out there, it has been on my "develop parts list" for a while, I have just finished R200 axel kits for the 180b/1600.

Thanks Lizardhead.

Scott

I have no personal relationship with MADDAT but I can tell you this based on the replies about them sending over replacement gear at their own cost - that imho makes them saints. By crikey, whatever you blokes do, don't get involved in mopars. There are some absolute top blokes in that area, but one or two mopar related vendors, you'd think their real name was Bernie Madoff. ABsolute scum. You just wouldn't believe some of their antics and refusal to honor warranty. Hell one of them even goes as far as to make out the gearbox conversions they bought from Castlemaine Rod Shop were their own creation!

If I had the budget, I'd go the pre-fabbed stuff. I currently don't so have to diy, which isn't always fun. Went through 3 different spring sets none of which were a proper fit or were non captive, only to have a forum member show me an old thread (whcih my own searching didn't turn up!) about using gemini front coils. Woo-hoo- I could have done it for $50, but it ended up costing nearer $400 to find that out!

I think that you guys might have upset the lizardman. He is still entitled to his opinion. Personally I think that some of their prices are a bit steep too but nobody is forcing me to buy their products. I have a set of their strut tops as I thought they were definitely the best value for money.

in reply to my gemini comment
it was meant in a way if you think datsun parts are too expensive, maybe you would be better off with a gemini, which parts are a hell of a lot easier to come by and alot cheaper
i didnt say whoever doesnt buy maddat parts are tight arses, i would much rather prefer to do thing myself too as i do,
and lets face it no-one wants to own a gemini
