Hi There

My first motor was a suck through using a SU carb, Garret T2 and the standard intake manifold. Worked like a bomb for a cheap conversion.

Hi Guys

I'm South African, also playing around with the A14 and A15 engines. I have a A15 which is turbocharged with original fuel injection manifold, aftermarket injectors and comuter.
Do any of you know where I can get more of these intake manifolds?

Regards
Pshycho

alternatively, ive got pretty large ports on the head, would it matter if the ports on the manifold were smaller than the ports on the head or would it create turbulence reducing power?

my port sizes are very similar to those of the 'big port' manifold gasket in that photo so they are almost big enough to accommodate the different spacing of the manifold's ports

Ive got one on the way now, should arrive mid next week. Hopefully its not too hard to make fit, ill be using a 10mm adapter plate to merge the shapes of the ports

I've seen a photo of this manifold. They do look really close to the right thing....

im looking at doing EFI using the hyundai/mitsubishi manifold, just gotta find me a 4g15 8 valve engine with EFI to steal the parts off. Its pretty well matched, just need to make a 10mm adapter plate as the ports are different shapes.

2QK4U: thx for the info will give him a call when I need more info.

I phoned Rowland Manifolds this morning, they are able to supply me a A14-dual side manifold and then a sides to Rxi Throttles Adaptor, all for the bargain price of R3200 ( +- $470 Aus), he said he will bolt it up and provide me with a fuel rail at that price.

I almost had an hart attack on the spot.

Racetech, called my cousin Allan from Aquarius automotive, tell him Pierre gave you his number and he will have some good information for you. He has a a15 pushing 278rwhp. He owns the shop and is an engine machinist but does all types of performance work. He has a dizzy with hall sensor in that fits straight into the datsun a series.

+27 (11) 3346845. That is the number I dial from aus too talk too him. Cheers.

All you SA guys must get in contact with h he is very helpful. But hurry cause he is imigrating too aus soon.

rally1200, what sort of branch are you running, reason, from my trial measurements it looks like I will need to come straight out from the intake ports and then turn with the intake pipes to clear the branch. Other option I have is to just use a very thick flange on the intake side to make life easier.

lamb_daiquiri: Thanks for the very informative info, it looks like I will go with the MS option, down here in Cape Town we have a shop called Rowlands manifolds www.manifolds.co.za they do sell a 1400 - side manifold intake and then they also do a side - rxi throttles, made from cast alloy. I'm only concern around the amount of space it will take up. The other option is to ask them to make ma a 1400 - rxi manifold.

Maybe I must just try that option first, I anyways also have to get a manifold made for a Ford Zetec - rxi. Maybe it is a good time to start a business relationship.

1200GXman: as for choking, if my math is correct, it is just a matter of pressing a sleeve into the intake runners after the butterfly.
