Thanks, so you are running multi point coils, sounds great.
I pressume the ITB's fit the redline manifold and no modification was needed.

Any problems so far with the dizzy and timming as you are not running a crank trigger.

What size is the ITB's, did you choke them?

What is your feelings regarding Mild Steel and Aluminum intake manifold as in SA we do not get these nice parts and need to be made.

I used to have it all in my photo album when we had the other site, don't know how/never really bothered to see if I could get the photo's transferred over...

In summary, Redline twin weber manifold, EFI hardware tb's,
FJ20 dizzy, 4 off LS1 coils, Haltech E6X computer.

Maybe perhaps some info on your setup, single throttle/multi throttle, turbo/NA, metal used on intake injector size, etc, etc.

I use a dizzy out of a FJ20 motor to run my computer on my A-series

They use the Nissan optical eye and the four triggers for the spark.

Very similar to a CAS.

Not a hard mod. to make one fit.

superbin lend me a Datsun dizzy on friday that was converted to a hall sender unit from a VW Rabbit, at least I can open it up and have a look at what is cooking and needed, in SA I can source a new VW Rabbit dizzy for R175.

Any Ideas regarding the amount of throttles and the intake metal used?

Cost is the one concern, this will also mean i'll need to buy a new 4point coil.
But if this is the best option I'll do it if the dizzy option is going to be a problem.

asfor the material issue, mild steel does not have as much thermal conductivity as alloy, so will stay cooler then alloy ones, providing there is nothing external heating it up. the motor heats up the alloy ones. but they also reduce the heat of the motor, although very slightly.

you can fit a CAS onto a dizzy. A mate of mine did this on a Z18eT. Apart from the gear lash thing, there's no real minus

Dizzy varies with gear lash. Crank trigger is rock-solid.
Crank trigger has no downside except cost & configuration.
Also A-series distributor has no TDC sensor if your EFI needs it.

I'm busy planning a EFI setup for my ute by using Toyota RXI throttle bodies.
Management will be a Gotech MFI system.

The questions:
1. What will the difference be between 2 and 4; 43mm throttle bodies.
2. What is the difference between making a intake from Mild Steel or Aluminum, is there a real difference.
3. What is the pros and cons between a crank angle sensor and using a dizzy as a pickup for timing.
