Thanks for your help i checked the thread you suggested and think im on the right track my datsun is a 1981 1200 ute so should have the late model cross member i brought the vehicle with the A14 already fitted and suspect it was fitted with the A14 brackets instead of transfering the stock A12 brackets over ? i may be in correct so any guidance is appreciated

see if you can find the top bracket in the picture.. from memory they go on the right hand side of your engine... on the exhaust side.. that will bring the engine down a conciderable amount.. i had the same problem on my 1000 coupe.

Hi does anybody have 1200 engine brackets to suit?
