welcome to the club, what a find very straight and complete. A very unique and attractive shape and styling. Sounds like u are planning keeping it fairly original, thats good.

Hi Fisch, welcome to the club. We don't know too much about the C engine here, just that it was the first Nissan engine derived from the Austin partnership.

If you wish to double your horsepower, fit an A14 engine, same exterior size, lighter weight too. 80 horsepower.

Hi guys, my name is Scott Fischer, and I have a 1959 Datsun 1000 (aka L210)

(WOW I can't seem to figure out how to post photos with out making a mess! Will try to edit more.)

It is a rare little buggy, and I've learned a bit about it from this site, so thank you!

I wondered if anyone here has experience with the c-engine in my Datsun. It is based off of the British B-series 1500. But is a destroked version. (I learned that here!)

What I am wondering is how close it is to the brit engine. Wondering if things like heads and manifolds will swap over? I'd like to get a bit more bang from the 37hp beast!

Do many things swap from british to datsun at all?

Here is a pic from the first day I got it:

There are 18 pages of info on this car here:

Also I am a moderator at Ratsun and the "Resident Ratsun Artist" because I draw Datsuns in my Spare time. (I am a professional illustrator.) Here are a few for you to see!:

Anyway a pleasure to be here and make an introduction. I've been here countless times and am glad to participate.
