That looks like the best setup Larry, I might see how mine goes after the next tune as i have checked it and there is no real play in this setup yet.
Thanks for the link I might need it in the future.

Hi Nigel,
Have a look at the standard system on an old Alfa with DHLA dellortos. Makes balancing the carbs simple. Set and forget. Most of the kits with twin actuating rods have lots of freeplay points in them and are frustrating to get right and impossible to keep right. There is plenty of junk out there. The best and most simple cable actuation system is fitted to a 70's Escort Twin cam. The end of the inner cable is fixed and the outer cable actuates the throttle lever arm. Very simple & very clever. Link to the balance part of the system here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WEBER-DCOE- ... 23414b5541#ht_2462wt_1266

Not sure yet benny, I had the carbs balanced a while ago but need to check them again.
Once I hit the power band it pulls hard regardless so it hard for me to tell.

Nigel,
How do you find the throttle linkage. Does it maintain the balance between the carbs? I got frustrated with a similar setup on my engine and ended up going with a magard setup. I looked up a similar linkage type on fleabay suitable for dellortos. dellorto linkage for twin carbs You can view topic.
