Nissan, give them a call. This is listed in the 2009 catalog although it may have to be ordered and the order may ultimately be canceled by Japan:

38100-H7000 3.700 R&P SET List Price $468.26
My old Nismo catalog says it fits all H150 carriers.

You'll want a set R&P and not fit a used Pinion gear with new Ring gear.

Wrecking yards. They are available up here.
Also, just reported yesterday that pick-n-pull has a 210 in Los Angelese area.

Any B210 1975-1978 or B310 one will fit. Wreckers have warranty too.

You don't even need a mechanic, it's a simple bolt in job, not measuring or adjusting needed.

Some were offered for sale here last month... I recommend that you look instead of your mechanic.

Don't even mess with it. Just swap in another good used pumpkin. Why people bother rebuilding these I'll never know. It's cheaper to swap, and less risky.

my mechanic is being lame, i doubt that there are no parts available. doing these things isnt what they do.

( which is funny considering they find restoration parts for their own projects... )

Who said the parts are no longer available? When I looked this summer, all the H145 parts were available except the crush washer.

You are better off (less expensive, faster and cheaper) in just getting a whole pumpkin center and swapping it in. Most of them are still good, quiet, no problems. Mine is still good at 37 years old, never been rebuilt.
