seeing as though i cant find the winge thread,

i really really hate it when me and my girlfriend pull into a disabled park, and the old couple in the next park thoroughly examine OUR car for a permit. even though im getting a wheelchair out of the boot for my girl!!
meanwhile they walk off, fit as teenagers, but THEY still have a disabled permit.

re motorbikes visibility, funny how u can always spot a cop bike with 360 degree round vidsibility. the idiots with shorts and singlets and thongs on bikes #OOPS# me. even if the road doesnt get them, a melanoma might,

I bet if you had confronted them about it they would have lost their #OOPS# too!

ditto, but i do and thats why i follow the rules/ make my self as visable as possible(lights on during the day even etc). I hate these bike riding ipod listening no helmet red light running tools. no bike etiquite. you overtake them after the lights and the jump right back infornt of you when they dont stop at redlights or pedestiran crossings just for you to wvertake them again 500m down the road cause they havent worked out how or when to change gears.

I reckon it has made me a more aware and better driver for it too. I dont drive the dato with the radio on any more, or the suby much.

I wish all bike riders were as concious about their safety as you unfamila. The contrasting colours between you and your bag would make you higly visible, as well as the contrast against the road and other users.

I fully support bike riders right to use th roads, but to be honest, i could not ride one regularly cause its just to easy to become street pizza just casue some twit "didnt" see you.

thedevilshands....yeah in commodores you can turn off the ESP but once it detects what it thinks is a crash situation it comes back on to save the day (annoying if you don't want it to save the day)

i have to high res vests for that very reason on my bike ruby, a orange one on me and a yellow one on my bag(wrapped around it so it still reflects)- i look like a tool(more that with out the vests) but havong both colors makes me more visable to idoit drivers that still reckon its their right to drive in the bike lane just cause its peak hour! (morotrcycleists and scooter riders too).

so no matter what can be done- human complacentcy will kick in and we will run the risk of dip shi$ts killing us. Full stop- current flavor of the month- inappropriate vehicles mainly SUV's that drive like morons in a sports car.
