Pretty much there are only two impedence values of injectors. One uses a dropping resistor, and the other doesn't. You could look at any other car engine bay (at the wrecking yard) and trace the injector loom to see if it has a dropping resistor similar looking to the Nissan one. You will see the CA18det one has 4 resistors.

You could pull it apart and get replacements from an electrical supplier.

They are a JECs part with a Nissan connector.
The term "Dropping Resistor" is the term of interest.

See: http://zilvia.net/f/archive-faqs/1330 ... e-injectors-approved.html

I have one at my parents, but I wouldn't be able to put it in the post until after XMAS.

Cheers.

so correct me if i am wrong, cause the ca uses 370cc injectors which are low impedance, i have to wire in 4, apprx 6-7ohm resistors in series parallel with the injectors??

i think i know what i am talkin about lol..

anyone done the conversion?

yep, all wired up now. you just suplly 12v to one side of all resistors and all outputs on the other to the injectors :)

Hmmmm.
I had always been led to beleive that the CA18De's used a resistor, and the DET's did not. This was told to me by a mate who has done lots of CA18det wiring loom conversions/ECU remapping.

Your mate must have been drunk. All wiring diags clearly show the dropping resistors are a det only part. Plus I've personally done a DE to DET upgrade back when I turned 25... 12 years ago
