Well, waiting on another part. Cracked my second and last crank pulley. Had one crack last month. Front seal was dripping oil so I pulled it and noticed a hairline crack in it. Sourced another used one and again it was dripping to to find another crack. Factory ones are casted and you can no longer buy them new so I'm having one machined out of Billet Steel. The guy who built my distributor shaft so I could go from fuel injection to carburetion, built my supercharger pulley and also my adapter plate for the Powerglide transmission is now saving my butt again.
Should be ready next week.
I'm just waiting for something else to break.
Anyone conduct exorcisms?

They also have problems with A-series engine pulley cracking when driving a supercharger ... the solution there is to use a custom steel pulley instead of the factory cast iron pulley

For sure!!!
I'm happy with this year's progress. Jetting is set. Not sure what happened but I'm 145's on the mains this year with the rebuild instead of 180's last year. I was having lean throttle responses so I was trying to work with the transition by messing with the idle jets. Come to find out that one of my pump jets was clogged. So that problem is fixed.
Changing out a steering tie rod end. Had a bad one but will eventually do them all.
Need to finish up on the rear fenders for clearance. Tall tires just barely rub when turning and shifting cars weight.
Races tomorrow but I'm working and cars not ready anyways. Will have to wait another week.

While I'm waiting for a my new crank pulley I thought I'd fix some tie rod ends. This is the drivers side. This one was in bad bad shape. I'll be replacing all of them eventually.

Still waiting on my crank pulley to be built. The programs finished but he said that he cant stop production of company parts at work so his run has to finish. They pretty much run 24/7. He said it wouldnt be much longer. I've only missed a couple of races so far.
I have my second tie road end for the right side so I'll put that on today. We've had great weather so I've been busy with other stuff.
Bought myself a red Stella so now I can ride with the girlfriend. Never thought I'd own one of these but here it is. Of course hers is a 2 stroke which kicks my 4 strokes butt. I've seen someone put a turbo on them so I may have to look into that.

This is a Work of Art! A Master Piece!
Installed the pulley to find out that he undersized the 6 bolt bolts for the water pump, alternator and supercharger pulleys. So I had to pull it off and take it back to him. I'll get it back on Wednesday. Oh well. Looks good and I go back to work Monday so no big deal. A couple of days won't matter. I have other projects to complete.

The dampener/ serpentine pulley bolts in to the crank pulley as well as the supercharger pulley. I don't use the serpentine belts on the crank pulley so the groves were not added for the belts.

That pulley looks good. Do you have a photo of the dampener?
