Made to the track today but car ran like crap. Its always my luck. Starter went out this morning so I had to run down and get a replacement. Made two horrible passes and loaded the car up. I went home and was trying to figure out what the heck was going and then noticed a needed component. My car runs on two coils. Well runs good on two coils. Runs under powered on one. The 12v leaded to the intake coil was disconnected. So I wasted the last race of the season on some bogus runs.
But now with the better boost I should get it dyno'd. With the Z24 motor I'm only boosting 5 psi. Im redlining at 5000k. My old A15 was redlining at 8500k so I was boosting almost 10psi. It was a fun day. Watched others pass a few times. Ski season over so I have to pull the boat tomorrow and winterize. Fun stuff.

Ok. Is it as easy as I think? First try at Youtube. Search for Datsun 1200 SuperBee if link does not work.

Sorry for the lame video. All I could do at the time. Need someone to video me on the street. Looking for a camera mount for the inside of the car as well.

Back to trying to fine tune this beast. When at high Rim's over 5500 the engine sputters and the tach jumps all over the place. I shortened the gap on my plugs to 28 from the stock 35 which helped but not sure if I should gap it more. Spark blowout from supercharger? Timing is set advanced at 15 degrees. Running colder plugs as well. I changed the fuel pressure from 6 psi to 3 psi at iddle and 6 psi at full boost.
Just trying to improve performance.

What cam in there? I had spluttering like that with Su, s and LPG- but that was loss of draw signal but occurred when cam lobe ramped up at 4000 rpm.

Stock cam. Even with stock cam it shouldn't sputter out. Ill keep messing with it. Thanks for the help.

Must be spark and pressure then. But might be some weird ass air flow thing

Well the stuttering and sputtering was a clogged fuel filter. Also found out that my car runs the best with spark plugs gapped at .028 and not .035.
Today couple of Bikers on Harley at a gas station asked me to light'n up. I was going sideways before I made it to the street. They caught up with me at the next street light and said that it was pretty impressive. :) Working on making a video camera mount for my roll bar. Might call tomorrow on getting a dyno scheduled.
