Yes, Info is progress.
Picked up the MSD distributor today. Guy did an awesome job on it. The contacts on the cap that are not going to be used are removed from the underside of the cap.
I plated up the crank case intake pressure return. To vent the crank case, I drilled a hole in the valve cover and am installing a 1 3/8 " pipe above the baffles. This should be sufficiant. Dropped the valve cover off at the weld shop today.
Some more fuel line stuff today and I think Im going to keep the exhaust header and oversize the holes. The guy who built the distributor said when he had more time, he could build me a custom header. I need something now. The turbo header will have to do.
3 rib pulley showed up today. Hole is a tab smaller so I need to ream it out. Im going to wait until I get a new alternator before I modify it. Shaft should be the same but want to be safe.

Quick update.
Here's some photos of the intake with the carbs on it. The supercharger bracket bolts onto the alernator bracket. That's why my alternator is going on the other side.
On the carbs, you can see how I link them together, short cable on the forward carb with a small bracket that slips into the rear carb to catch the trottle cable.
Nitrous nozzele to the rear.
Had to build my own spark plug wires. Had a set of MSD wires off my truck when I tuned it up. Shortened them and added the tips to connect the spark plugs.

Everything is all in the car now. All that is left is to build the alternator bracket. Still waiting on the pulley issue. Also, I ordered a new exhaust header. That should be here this week. 3rd times a charm.

Thanks. This engine really blows.
Next race is April 14 so I have time to finish this beast. I'm back to work tomorrow so no progress until Wednesday. Still need to install the driveshaft and fill the tranny with oil. I have a small leak in one of the rear brake cylinders so I may take that apart and take a peek.
Looking forward to taking my car out for a cruise.

I've tuned the Z24 motor in this configuration. This won't be much different.

Will B nice 2 hear audio/vid of it revving & will be interesting how much more oomph this head makes over the last. Some figures of the Ka24de head over the Z shows a massive contrast. Ka24de around 230cfm, while 280cfm or more ported. Z & L heads are nearly halve that while 100cfm short when ported. A Ka24de worked with L bottom end makes as much hp as a trick 3 litre L28 (Power 2 weight Ka is a clear winner) ummm b110 or even 240zg with KA power sounds perfect.

Interesting reading I would say. I reconditioned my head but valves and springs are stock. No porting. If I'm going to force it in it really didn't need porting. Crower Stage 2 cams. I purchased the cams used and were advertised as Stage 3's. Found out later they were not. Was bummed but what can you do.
Looking forward to finishing this project. I've been hitting it hard this last month with all the fabricating.
