My brakes are still soft. I have to bleed them again. Same with the clutch. I'm switching my Plugs as well. I always use the standard NGK plugs but the guy at the parts store talked me into those NGK Green VPower plugs. They suck. They are not burning clean. I tried them on the A15 , Z24 and now the KA. Don't buy them. The stardard plug works just fine.
More tunning to go.

That would be the brake light.

oh, I've never seen that on a 1200 here lol.

GL and GX models, and all north american models have the safety light. Also all Japan models from 1975.

This car loves me.
Yesterday I took it out for a spin. Driving down the road I look in the rearview mirror and notice a nice smoke screen laid out. I pull over and notice oil all over my exhaust just smoking. Nothing showing forward of the driveshaft so I'm guess rear Tranny to Driveline seal just went out. Was only a mile from home so I drove it.
Drained the gear oil out and pulled Driveline off. The seal didn't look even all the way around so I'm assuming that's the problem. Picked up a seal and put it in only to find out that I couldn't get the Driveline back in because I guess if you tap the seal in as far as it will go instead of just flush, the seal interferes will a metal ring just on the other side of the seal so, driveshaft won't fit. Had to order another one. Will be here at noon.
Oh, and also, I had to replace the front main crank seal on the motor the other day. Had a small small but noticeable leak. When I built the motor, I tapped that one flush and apparently that one has to be all the way in as far as it will go. Go figure.
More tunning to do with carbs and new spark plugs.
So I'm guessing all will be good soon.

Ernie, did you use sealant on the outer surfaces of the front main seal?

No seal. I just pressed it in.
New info just obtained.
So I fired the car up and crap!!! Same leak. Found out that the KA has been known to wear a groove in the crank pulley so the leak won't ever be fixed. So I found a fix: new pulley for $250 or repair sleeve for $30. I chose the sleeve. I guess a lot of folks said that this will fix the problem. Have one on order: Temkin KWK99181 is the part number. Don't know why the company that makes the front seal, just can't make a repair seal with a smaller diameter.
Now for the tranny. Freak in still leaks! I'm looking into that. I need this fixed by April 28th's next race.

One down, one to go. The KA has a one-piece 360-degree rear main seal and a traditional crank pully seal.

Rear main is fine. Its the tranny output shaft to the driveline that's leaking.

Repair sleeve showed up in the mail yesterday. I'm going to start on that tonight.
After further review and more chats, I don't think the second leak is from my rear tranny driveline output seal. Its been a while since I've used the small rubber boot that seals the shifter to the tranny. I use the bigger one for inside the car but not the small one underneath. Well I have oil pooling up down in the shifter. Never before. Problem is most likely the tranny breather is clogged up and oil is now getting forced up through the shifter. Now all I have to do is get to the breather without having to pull the engine and tranny out. The tranny does not come out by itself. I have no room.
To do the repair sleeve, I have to pull the radiator, the electric fan and the grill just to get a puller on the front of the motor.
There's still hope for this project!!

There's always hope, guess it means a new block if this doesn't work? Correct?
