Finished fuel lines and pump today. 1/2 inch forward and 3/8 inch on the return. I'm going with a Mallory 110 @ 7 psi. Should give me more than enough fuel.
My new fuel cell is fitted but I had to take it out. I'm going to mount my trans cooler and fans in the rear so I need to work through the trunk. Missed the first race but it rained out within the first hour. Next race on the 12th. I should be ready.

If you ever get the chance Ernie pls all I ask is of a good sound file, no video needed just that forced supercharged acoustic so I can give my classical collection a rest.

I'll try and get you something soothing.
I'm at work so nothing is getting done for another day. What's left. Mount tranny cooler in the rear and run the lines, install fuel cell, mount wide open thottle on gas pedal for nitrous, finish up ground effect lights, carpet and seats back in, mount supercharger and finally the normal front end stuff (radiator, fan, grill and hood). All but tranny cooler should go fast.

Kind of ded in the water till I figure this problem out.
Motor and tranny back in. Motor running great but no fluid pressure on transmission pump. Can't figure it out. Good thing I built the tunnel big enough to pull the tranny out without having to pull the motor. I'll look at it again tomorrow and make the discission to pull or not.

Do you have to prime the pump?
Or is the pick up blocked? Hope something simple

I don't think it needs to be primed. Can't find anything about priming on the net. Pulled the transmission yesterday. Pump is engaged with torque converter and sounds like pump is working. I'm going to stop and talk with he guy that sold me the transbrake. He owns a transmission shop. He might have some better ideas.
Missed yesterday's races. Need to get the problem fix! Dropped my spent 5 speed off at the scrap yard. Good 6 bucks for it. Have another one that I'm going to sell for $100. Its a 620.

Problem solved. Not engaging pump after torque converter pull up to flexplate. I thought I had the measurements correct but I guess not. 3/16 of an inch disengaged the pump. Who would have know.
So tomorrow I'm calling the torque converter shop to see what it will cost to have that added to the hub. Otherwise I'm shimming it. I'm glad it didn't pull the pump off.

Dave, racing is Friday this week. I will attempt to put it back together when I figure my fix. Book your flight now if you plan to attend.
![]() This weekend is DTP Race Wars in Royal City, WA. 1/4 mile Drags. I'd like to go. Will finish up wiring relay to Transbrake button for WOT switch for Nitrous. Want to make sure I'm not juicing at the line before I launch.

Well the torque converter is back at the shop. They need to lengthen the hub.
Instead of the hub bottoming out on the pump the drive shaft was hitting the front of the torque converter. Should be done this afternoon. You can view topic.
