Thanks Dave.
Block is done as well. Waiting for my piston rings to come back from Total Seal. Also waiting for new timing chain. Couple mods to the car in the meantime. Need to install a Purge valve for my Nitrous. Never had one and never wanted one. Always thought they were there just to make you look cool but they do serve a purpose. Need to pressure wash the engine compartment and re-spray fresh paint. For now other projects are getting done around the house.

Just looking at your cams from JW
are they solid billet units or other? Ive always wondered why not just delete the ends off after the lobe as there is no support just extra weight for running crankfire ecu igntion

I see that but not going to mess with it. My luck something would go wrong.

Block and head is done. Picked them up today. Block was clean and not a speck of paint.
Total Seal Piston Rings came in so I had the machine shop open the gaps on the rings. Standard was around .016". They are now gapped to .026". That was per Total Seal recommendation because of running nitrous and boost. Posted a picture of the top ring with the groove for the second top inner ring. Oppose the gaps and you get a Gapless ring. ![]() May start putting it back together tonight.

Cranks installed with rear main seal. Went with King Racing Bearings instead if the standard King Bearings. A lot more expensive but it was worth it. I'll install the Pistons tomorrow and maybe the head. No rush but racing does start in March.
Looking forward to a fresh motor.

After damaging an oil ring and waiting for a new one to show up and other stuff going on in life, I finished up putting the motor back together.
D, that photo you posted of that head with the missing last cam caps, my head has those caps. Not sure what head came off of. Going to put it back in the car in the next few days. You can view topic.
