Car ran great today. Was out on the road for a few miles and it runs good. I stopped by Jim Green's Performance today and talked with one of the guys there who deals with the KA motor and the drifters. I currently have a 60hp shot of Nitrous on the car. I see very little increase in acceleration with it so the guys talked me into a 125hp shot. Bought the jets and headed home. Easy change out and the double of nitrous made a huge difference. Im sticking with the 125hp shot. With all the fixing (broken SC bracket), I still have not been able to schedule a dyno so maybe next week after a few more test runs.
Maybe the curse has ended and I should have more faith in this car.

Thanks D!!!
I have yet to race this year but I will. Next one is July 28th.
Disappointing but I'll just have to wait.
I hoping all bugs are out and I can just drive it.
So far so good.
Oh, as of last ride, the gas gauge is acting up. Full-empty-full-empty.

So I made it to the track today. Car performed well except I had trouble keeping it at idle. Made 4 passes and ran the fasted time at 7.2 seconds in the 1/8th but the track is a bit shorter than a true 1/8th due to safety reasons. The 125 shot of Nitrous was a real eye opener.

SuperBee Video

The video has a bunch of rattling and odd noise which I can't explain. Might just be the rattling of the camera case. I have more video of the car going down the track but it was taken by a friend so I need to wait for him to email them.

No dyno until I can get the carbs figured out.

Was off the grid for a bit. Work and stuff. I'm back and working on truly tunning these carbs. For years I've been running rich with incorrect jets. It worked but not as good as it should. After about $100 in main jets and air correction jets, I'm close.
Right now I'm 190 on the primary's and 180 on the secondaries. 200 on all the air correction jets. I'm a little flat at boost so I ordered 210 on the air correction primary's to match up with the 190 main primary jets. Keep in mind, I'm working 2 carbs.
We will see where that takes me.

I'm using the XTD Stage 2 clutch With the 11 pound fly wheel. You can find it on EBay.
It seems to work fine.
