I dont think he's too concerned about the build on these KA motors. He builds these cars for specific drivers and not for himself. They want a car with a motor in it to race. 🙂

250hp ate is very believable these heads
flow way more than even sr16ve engines.
2.4L 2400cc 250hp is very reliable hp.

Ive been wondering if a yota 1ar-fe crank
could fit the KA or QR blocks which both
have 89mm bores, toyota 90mm bore but its
alloy block and at its limit.

As you know the drift champion car built
by Pappadakis uses the 1AR 105mm crank to
90000rpm. The Toyota 1arfe pistons and
rods are incredible from factory.
Please if you have time ask your mad mate
if he can get the specs of the 1arfe
crank as I reckon it would be close.

KA27DE or QR27DE prob is very possible.
In your case 300cc is nothing as you run
boost but his NA build could make use of it.

He runs both 12 and 16 valve motors.
It's about 225hp to the wheels. That's better than a stock 16 valve 160hp on the motor alone. He's not over exaggerating as most do.
This is where the Carbureted KA got its start.
The cars are built on a s13 /240sx platform.

Is that the 12 valver he uses for 225hp? like the holley setup would give
better midrange torque with the equal length design. What is the body?
Its in between s13, rx7 and pontiac??? Mad tinkerers your way!

He said somewhere around 225hp to the wheels. Which is pretty good.

Here is a couple of Mini Stock race cars. Obviously smaller than the Super Stocks. They run 3/8 or 5/8 mile oval track.
The guy who builds these cars also builds my special parts for my car. I do a lot of my own fabrication but some stuff he gets done. Never would have been able to get this far without him. 🙂

So I had previously mentioned that I spun the #4 rod bearing on my last motor.
I chatted with my buddy who runs circle track with KA24 motors and he said "Oh yeah".
"And there is a fix to the problem". Basically a rear oil line to the block fed from the oil filter return. He said he has never spun the bearings from then on.
So a #6 line from one of the oil pressure gauge ports to the rear of the block to distribute the flow.

Parts are headed to the Engine Balance guy on Monday.

I only painted it yellow for piece of mind. 🙂

Well 4 Datsuns multiple multiple rebuilds over the last 20 years and always looking to go faster.
The fastest carb'd Datsun?
That would be nice.
