Made a gasket template tonight for tb to plenum as couldn't find gasket paper.
Will tap the injector bosses with 10.25 or 10.5 thread depending what bolts easier to get.

Not much meat on bottom of boss to support the plenum if I need to brace it- would have to hang off inlet manifold bolts.

Also didn't get a pic cause it wouldnt support it- but Id of toilet paper roll fits od of manifold runners- also the 10cm length is spot on for length of hose between plenum and head- even enough overlap lOl.

Think of that next time on the toilet hahaha

well dummied it all up, no gasgets yet- have to make a brake as theres a bit of bounce in the pipe, dont want to risk it poping off a hose.

so though oh yeah i use some studs for 2 of the injector bosses in the manifold.
good idea, soft alloy and not much meat meant that they will not hold weight, so i used a bit of knead it for now to see how it goes- just to seal it all up with bolts and studs in there. i think i need to get new pipes and bosses welded on some inlet flanges

but it clears the dizzy now and i had to rotate the throttle body accelerator thing the cable goes into, so it has enough play. modded my bracket for accel cable so it will feed in on the right angle too. so cable sheath is 68 cm, with cable add 18cm. need a sheat 68+28(96) and add 21cm more cable. if i can find something to suit good. thats one long cable. also need 20cm more lpg hose.... grrr.

now the filter wont stay- will affect signal for the lpg, so need to source some 70mm 180deg hose.... so it will feed from under the tb. hotter air but lpg doesnt like ram flow into the chamber. might try for some 90 deg bend if cheaper after pay day.

looks like this side of stuff coming together, need a tie rod spliter to do the suspension..... cant find mine, thisnk another member has it on loan. hope it turns up soon.
still havent cleaned up exhaust either.

oh as for the brace, thinking of just a single brace from the center exhaust bolt to the center of the manifold.... will just do 2mm plate, at least will stop the bouncing movement mostly.

So decided tomorrow to dremmel out the bosses to either gave injector holes welded up or I will put 14mm welsh plugs in them for a seal. Figure either of those options doable. Just no studs to mount plenum brace too if welsh plugs, have to go off manifold bolts.

The welsh plugs is a good idea. Dare I say you had a good idea. At least it leaves the option of injection open later on.

Dremel a hole for a Welsh plug.... Terrible idea, the thing will run like a bag of balls for ever and a day if you have one tiny air leak... Do it right otherwise your wasting your money tuning it.... Or doing the manifold at all.

I also bet welding the runners would have been cheaper than hoses and clamps and you wouldn't have brace problem now

Nah mic holes already there just need to clean up the tapping I did in the nozzle bit.

Don piggy had the idea- then I read it's all the go on xf falcon straight cas conversions.

14mm welsh plugs $1.80 each. Will drop in rad shop see how much to weld or just welsh plug em. Brace is easy the silicon supports the weight but the plenum rocks a lillte, brace to stop any rocking.

I'd love to connect solid but then engine rock would pull pipes off.
So a bracket on exhaust stud or inlet stud then to top of manifold. Just get a nut welded on top to bolt to or dril a hole, nylock but and a bolt with o ring either side and high temp silicon to be sure.

great to see you making improvements to the car but...

it could all be so clean and smooth and one piece, your turning it into Frankenstein

your gonna weld a nut to that beautiful vast expanse of flat alloy that is begging for a polish to look a million bux?

whats this talk of o-rings and silicone, you shouldn't need to drill into the plenum if a nut is welded on there?

[edit] yet the other thread i'm reading your telling people how they should make there car look.... your doing my head in man!

Welsh plugs won't fix or seal after you have run a tap through it. Hand the manifold over to Mick. It's the honorable thing to do.
