well what a pita wiring is.

i finally routed the btttery wire- decide to use some big muttha conduit so nothing shorts in the back of the car..... that you bunnings 4m for $4..... and its orange!

well i didnt have a butane torch to het the conduit so i cracked open the camping stove.... heated the conduit bit by bit and moulded it into shape of the rear wheel arch and under the rear seat...... time consuming but worth it to me.... had to get a 90 deg bend and decided to run conduit all the way to the front seat and to the tunnel. need to p clamp it down but it isnt going any where in a hurry.

i moulded this bit all the way to the sill just about after 1 hour.... took it slow as if you bend it too quick- it collapses.

aslo while i was at it i fitted the elec demister to the drivers side...

not the prettiest but AFTER 10 years the thing still worked!!!!! i bought it in 2002 lol when i got the ute.

will be warm enough to demist but not heat the cabin- care factor 0 i own jumpers

only issue is i hope it clears the wiper motor arm. also i droped the crimping tool connections and need to buy more of the stupid connectors to connect to the relay posts.... grrrrrrr not happy.
also i need to wire the heater to the isolater switch- cant fit more than 3 connections to starter motor post(yes got 3 on there batt power, headlights relays, power from alt with fusible link and fan) - . no dramas there- probably easier this way, thinking of splicing in a cig lighter to it too to charge the phone.

so just waiting on manifold and to get 4 more clamps to hold down the conduit permanently to the car- and these stupid connectors, i picked up all of the connections box and none left!!! grrrrrr.

once manifold back i can mod the throttle cable and its all systems go!

next after a few drives- save up for impco gas ystem conversion.... hope will be worth it vroom vroom .

Well battery install all done - switch box needed a bit more modding. I'm not 100% happy with how it sits but I'm not redoing it now- will look for a better box design later on.

Heater wired as per my usual New thread over analysis of everything simple but haven't tested it yet.

Just need to hook up battery in boot and see

So all I'm waiting on is Manifold to be welded ( my crap cutting means needs milling now) but then it's accel cable mod- some 70mm air intake hose and cross fingers it starts so I can take for a tune then maybe a wheel alignment.

Weathers turning baffling this week, wanted to buff and kill rust passenger foot well. Did drivers while carpet was lifted.

Next major thing too- test fit roll cage so I can make 4 or 5mm plates to sandwich car between plates. Might even tac weld em in for bit more support under neath.

Well went and tested elecs tonight with batt hooked up in boot.

Nothing arced shorted caught fire yay! Now to just test with car running finally once manifold back (big thanks rc)

So heater/demister works when switch pulled all way out ont on first notch. I can live with that or does that mean the other yellow/red tracer is live under the dash stll?
I've taped up the end anyway.

Wiper arm also clears the heater yay!!!!

So seems its all ok so far

That's to much work. All you really needed to do is spread a few candles accross the dashboard. :)

Datsa73- bring a bottle of whiskey and some pizza and we can have a romantic night out

Piggy, core leaked all over floor. So elec seemed best option as I never have luck with the stock ones. 3 cars and heaters always stuffed up or leaked. 2 never came with working heaters in the first place
