Well today i took a 3 hour trip to ACT to pick up my new 1200 79 model.
Ute has all been bead blasted not one bit of rust in it, very happy. Plans are to take all the running gear out of my sunny and throw it all in the ute. Not sure if the length of the sunny diff will fit straight in tho, so i think i will be wrecking the sunny out soon. Here is a few pic's : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Just a quick question , do you need a heater box for a blue slip in NSW ?

I bought two 12v hair dryers and will put them straight into the air vents. Apparently this is what the hot rod guys do. I spoke to an engineer and he said its fine. I will let you know how I go in a few months.
Edit: Sorry I didn't answer your question. No you do not need a heater box but you do need some type of demister eg. 12v hair dryers as above.

Well after trying to sell my ute with no luck i thought i'd better start doing something to it. So i drilled out the hooks on the side of the tray and drilling out the rear quarters to be replaced with brand new ones, new ones go on tomorrow. After removing the rear bottom seal panel i found some damage so i got a rear cut from a wrecking yard ( will be getting fixed with the quarters ) once that is all straight & done it will be time for body work and new transmission tunnel.
