They don't make them any more & I paid quite a bit for that one several years ago.

so its a mechanical bike tacho adapted to an A series timing cover...doesnt seem that hard to do. but then none of its stock and im sure you can get an oldskool looking electronic 10k tacho to put in the stock tacho spot

Back in the day they used the tach-drive tachometer in Gran Prix racing. So it is authentic.

Mechanical drive tachometers are not in the least bit inferior to electronic ones & in some applications are superior with quicker response when the throttle is blipped or when traction is broken in the wet.
I still fancy the Smiths Chronometric tach. Very exotic, very pricey.

yeah i didnt say anything about an electronic one being better. more that it would be a whole heap easier and cheaper
