On a coupe, the rear lower shock mounts will not move if you lower your car with blocks. Only the axle will move closer to the
car.
Your question applies to sedans, as the rear lower shock mount is on the axle, or to both if you dont use blocks and dearch
the leafs.

What about a dearched rear end (spring dearching),if I use the original shocks, there will be no travel and the shocks will be like a rock, way too hard,as I am experiencing.
2 inch lowering needs shorter shocks, any sources?

nah you wont need shorter shocks with blocks coz the blocks just move the diff up on a coupe and ute,
not the mounts.

new shocks and shorter bump stops will help out though. however if you reset the springs it will be even
better again

the shortened shocks will only work effectively if you have reset the springs. because the lowering blocks dont move the spindle that the shock mounts to on the
plate underneath the diff.

You are right, and that is what I have,I took off the stock springs and took them to a spring shop for reseting ,now being 2 inch lower than regular. I reinstalled them in my car with the
original size shocks I had from before reseting the springs and the suspenssion has no effect, and after a bump, the shocks (stock size) tend to swing upwards because they try to extend
to its fullest when ever posible, making a bouncing effect after a depression on the road. I got the shorter ones but I have not installed them as of yet. I should expect better
performance,I hope,or am I wrong? experts,say something. Thanks.

So if you reset your leaf springs you need shorter shocks?

I have reset leaf springs on my 1200 ute and I just bought replacement KYB shocks from eBay.

I hope I didn't waste my money.

I wanted KONI's but the KONI 80-1904 shock from the VW Passat (to fit the 1200 ute) are very hard to find.
