wow thanks for all the advice people.. been a great help.
alright to clear it up a little, my ute is road car that id just like to adapt to the track a little better. im not chasing mods that will shave tenths off lap times or anything like that. i just want to be able to get out there and have some fun with it, without being frustrated about its terrible handling. so going back to basics, my plan (after reading all the advice) is to make my soft front end stiffer, and to soften up the rear a little. that alone i think should make a big difference and hopefully improve the corner traction a lot aswell. ive gotta get moving though... becuase ive already entered in another hillclimb at the same venue in 3 weeks.. and boof.. consider this your invite march 7. be there! ![]()

lol look at the lean in the ute ang in that last pic its full of roll. im with wat other ppl say, stiffer front and little softer back, i have to do some sim mods to mine as my setup is un balanced, i have piggys front modded front struts just need stiffer springs, and have sway bar setup in rear and it just causes troubble as it is setup for stock height not 4inches lower :)
ill try get mine going better soon and come watch some events and even maybe enter too. good luck ange

if you need to borrow some adjustable stuff ange, my sedans not doing anything
pity you changed from having stanza struts as all my stuff would have just bolted straight in otherwise id say get some cheapo coilovers for the front as it will make getting springs a whole heap easier and you can test spring rates alot easier as plenty of people have coilover springs lying around. and you can always have a stiff pair of springs for the track and soft ones for the street...not that it really matters that much with the amount of street driving the ute would get ive also got the same rear spring setup as tommo, ute load leaf onto of a standard pack...probably wouldnt advise that as its way to stiff

i think tomo added it opn top though, not on the bottom of the pack the way i read it.
i have the ute load spring closest to the road and the 2nd smallest flipped onto the top of the pack. feels better from my testing but yet to test under track conditions.
