i can see you going out on the track mik and suffering lots of understeer then blaming the engine weight or suspention setup

looking at the first pic i reckon a shorter strut would have that front left off the ground... and more camber is definately gonna help with a little understeer i had at times..

dont think it was a case of pushing too hard in the dry mik, as last time i couldnt push hard as it was too busy doin one leggers around the bends

i havent planned next one yet, would like to tackle a small circuit..sandown or winton perhaps then move on to phillip island..

i think im addicted

Ange, if you are going to stick with the 120Y struts /S13 brakes setup, I would probably go for the P30 bilsteins. look up a bilstein insert for a MK1 golf, there 4 options from memory, ranging from comfort street to race. From memoery they are approx $195 US ea online.

I am running KYB's [from a MK1 Golf] in 120Y struts on my sedan, matched with single taper king springs, They have an exponential rate instead of the typical linear springs.

Also, as rallycar suggested, you can never have too much castor. I run approx 4 to 5 degrees in the streeter and 6-7 on the track car. Makes for excellent straight line stability and loads the steering up nicely on cornering

cheers
benny
