I know that if you haven't done the conversion, you think it's a few bent brackets, maybe a tunnel and some wiring.

Every bloody nut and bolt gets a workout. Diff, brakes, handbrake, suspension, steering, brake lines, fuel lines. etc etc.

You really gotta keep telling yourself the old saying 'you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear'.

Keep some perspective, or it can quickly climb into many many thousands.

not hard to fix rust for $50...and how the #OOPS# do you use more than a whole bottle of gas on rust repairs?
on the one bottle ive got ive done 2 engine conversion so all mounts and exhaust and even welded a whole tunnel into a car. done all the rust repairs on mine with a new tunnel and its been used by my brother on his car as well, think it started on 20000 on the guage, its still about 5000 now
and its like $80 a refill for the gas plus i think $130 a year rental
and it was about $10 for the new sheet of panel steel(800x600) that i used for all the repairs
got cutting and grinding discs for free
so yeah thats how i did it for $50...wow isnt that amazing

it cost me a #OOPS# load of time, hence why i wouldnt be doing it for anyone else for what it cost me to do. or i could have just gave it to a panel shop and said fix that, then just wait a year for them to do it and give them a whole heap of money too

and yes the guy thats paying someone else to do everything is telling me in on crack, maybe if you actually did something on your car yourself you would see its alot cheaper than paying someone else to do it

but no where did i say that everyone could do it for $50 or that thats what i'd do rust repairs on someone elses car for

EDIT, are those stock stanza brakes? let us know when you rear end someone

$80 for refill.... i am no mathmatician ;)

we are just taking the piss mate... dont quote figures that are wrong lol..

oh and all the prices that i put up for the things are approximate prices of getting other people to make and or install :)

geez you are good at reading, see the part where i say its $80 a refill and on that refill i also did 2 engine conversion and various other welding...but no none of that used any gas it was all used just on the time i was welding the rust

i should have guessed that you woudnt know what the brakes on your car actually were
