My coupe owes me less than $5000 (that's including the car and all the bit's I've bought).....but then again it has been an epic project getting around to it when I have time (which seems to be never lately.

it doesn't include tools though....but if your a man you have to buy them anyway.

yeah gav you sum it up pretty well

like i said ages ago, if you cant do most things yourself and know you're going to be paying other people to do it all then its probably better to just buy one thats already been built, obviously you would want to be having a really good look over any car like that though just to make sure its built how you want it to be

oh and bailz, pretty sure they are stanza brakes, might be a 200b strut but its not a 200b caliper. heres a pic of the stanza brakes i had back in the day on my car...never used them as i went for bigger brakes before the car could move its self
stanza brakes
same caliper, 200b is much different

My rust repairs cost $250 on my coupe, passenger floor and boot and I payed for labour. I went down to a local smash repairer that also runs a welding/panel beating course and they gave me the steel, even after I offered to pay. I borrowed a welder off brewskie and payed a mate $250 to come and weld the plates in. I dressed the repairs my self.

The only reason he wanted that much is becuase he came from mudgee. If he still lived in Sydney I reckon he would asked for less, oh maybe more like $50. The quality is very good, there are plenty of pics on my build page.

Getting back to this poor guys thread. Acerobbiebmx a few points of advice. Wheather its rust or a conversion and wheather you pay top $ or your lucky like me and have some great mates that can help. You need to research and do quality control. If its not quite right or your not happy, do something about it. Oh yeah and get your bank account ready. You have heard from both ends of the spectrum. Pigdog who has built his car him self which still has a budget of 10k, which still big money for a young bloke. And the other guys who are right in saying it could cost 25k plus.
