Ute was in the early stages of a project build, a lot of the necessary expense already completed. I will be selling the ute with all parts and pieces included that won’t be needed for my next Datsun build (Ca18 will not be included in sale). I have had the head gasket, radiator & thermostat replaced (new). The a12 running in it now is bulletproof. I have only completed 6,000Kms since gasket and radiator replaced. All fluids and oils changed on 25FEB10.
Modifications: I have upgraded the entire front end – Stanza front strut assembly includes shortened stanza struts with KYB inserts, spacers, 250lb lowered front King Springs (Yellow Springs) with 280mm non slotted rotors with Rx7 S4 calipers from Maddat, have receipts. Comes with engineer’s report. Total front end rebuilt – purchased from Maddat control arms, radius rods, Ball joints, steering arms and tie rods all new bushes. Also put in 20mm thick 120y sway bar. Fitted is the maddat brake booster with backing plate, steering box bracket from Maddat, I also have a 1200 to CA18 cross member that can go with the car if wanted. Replaced steering column bush as these can go on old cars and make driving sloppy. (This Ute is stiff and handles great) Car has TRX rims fitted, painted in Mitsubishi Evo Grey – GTI swift seats installed. I also have original seats that are immaculate – re-upholstered 2 years ago. Engine bay is clean and neat. Have fitted a chrome knock off tawainese front bumper – however I have an original which is painted white. The windows are tinted except the driver’s side quarter window – which the rubber has recently been replaced. It has a new custom black tonneau cover with sail rail and studs in the hook rails (on top) It does not have a cross bar. All electrics work. New ignition key cut on 25FEB10 due to worn key not barrel.
The body is in great condition, the underside and floor in cabin was sprayed with black ‘tar seal’ very neat. There is some rust beginning to appear in places on the panels only which needs attention to prevent unwanted damage (Or replace the panels). The original dash has cracks in it. The gear box bearings will need replacing if you wish to keep it a12 & 4 speed. The bearings only whine when cold. I have fitted a momo steering wheel and it has a CD player with 6x9’s in the doors. One speaker removed at present. Has 2inch lowering blocks. The rubber on the tyres is 90% all round. Also has 4 floor mounted tie down hooks in tray – very handy especially for motorcycle transport.
Inspections are encouraged. Regretful sale. The price is realistic and reasonable, understanding that most people do not want to part with cash at the moment without a good return.
