Dash Board Brake Light ?

Hi Guys

What is the mechanism of the dash board brake lights ? on Hand Brake ? is it working on a switch like reverse brake , if ,can any one tell me with a picture please

Are you asking what the "Brake" on the dash panel goes towards? If so It should be the hand brake.

Thanks a lot mean while i went to garage and saw the same setup, i have not got this type of a hook in mine , dont know why ? ok never mine what is the electric mechanism on this switch ? if you are aware about

What year and model car is yours?
When handbrake is pulled, the switch is open. When you release it the hook pushes in the switch. I'll go shoot a few more pictures for you when it stops raining.

This switch will make the light go on if there is a problem with the brake system.
