As per title, I'm rebuilding my A14 (this is my first full rebuild) and last weekend I stripped the engine right down into all its bits. I wanna build a nice street engine that will take good advantage of my GX induction setup AND my twin 40DHLA Delortos.

So I want to know what suppliers people have used for this task and what brands of equipment are better/worse expensive/cheap (not always proportional I know.

Things like bearings, pistons ( I want to use flat top items in this rebuild but dont care if they're forged or cast as its only a streeter), cam grinders (what cam specs people have used for SU and DHLA/DCOE induction setups, main/big end/head bolts and generally things to be aware of and to watch out for.

Hey mate,

In one of my old rally cars, i used mainly ACL bearings, ARP studs and bolts, High Comp. CP pistons and Mahle pistons, Carillo rods.

They are typically some of the best items you can get, but this was for race engines. So for street the would definetly do but will be costly. I ran 45 DHLA dellortos as well on a redline manifold though... A synchronisation setup may be needed to keep the tune longer. I used a setup off an Alfa. Before that it needed tuning nearly every 2 months.

I'm not gonna replace the rods just get some flat tops to up the compression for a bit more poke.

Not a problem. Its basicall a thin bar that just opens each butterfly at the same time rather than individually. Well its more precise anyways, i cant reallt explain atm, have the damn flu and cant think.
