#1 Video footage from recent hillclimb
dat141 Posted on: 2010/3/28 11:33
Hey I just whacked up a bit of footage from the last hillclimb down at Fairburn park in Queanbeyan, going to concentrate on hillclimbs a bit more this year, supersprints are a bit dull with only two tracks on the calendar.

Check it out

Aidan, what sort of power is your engine producing, it picks up really quite quickly.

Chris

EDIT: Just watched it again. That thing is feckin' flying, nice work.

That was BADASS! I'm with CLYONS on this, what is the engine spec? That thing accelerates HARD!

I know it's an A15 EFI but some detail would be great.

The crackle from the induction is great.

it's still the same engine I put in about 18 months ago, seems to be getting stonger with every event. A15 with 79mm b-projects pistons, standard crank and rods albeit polished and shotpeened, arp rod bolts, camshaft reground by wade cams in melbourne, can't remember what grind, just told the bloke what sort of stuff I do and let him figure something out. H89 head, standard valves, double valve springs, ports opened up a little bit and smoothed out. Induction is 45mm efi hardware throttle bodies run by a haltech e6x
So it's all fairly standard stuff, just the usual hotting up stuff done. Haven't ever had it on a dyno other than an old water retarded one, it came up with figure of 120hp at the wheels which could be about right.
I do run a 4.875 diff ratio which helps it accelerate pretty well.

Champion effort mate.

I was eyeing off the EFI setup but the funds are a little fine at the moment. Perhaps in the near future.
