I was chasing some bits to (dellorto) and had no replys. The few bits I got I brought from ebay. If there was a bunch of stuff in one spot it would be great.
I now have a few spare bits that I may never use but would gladly swap for bits I could.

Why not just keep a spreadsheet online using something like Google docs, drop box, etc? People can then list what parts etc they have with a contact (user name) and contact can be made from there?
Of course then everyone needs to keep things updated but with a bit of discipline it should work?

I returned the box of bits today (minus any jets for now). I'll make a cash offer for the whole lot and see how I go.

Five of the seven responses were local to you, with estyre buzzing over the thread (6 maybe?) I reckon it would have to be a state thing.
But when it all goes ahead, I don't have parts to offer. I certainly need parts but I can't do the trade swap thing as I have nothing to offer (just yet).
I just don;t know how it will be regulated. If people don't want their excess jets, chokes, valves, floats etc etc and they donate them to a open distributor then wouldn't that then make the parts free to whoever ever needs them? Seeing as the intention is to provide a parts.
I dunno. Good idea, but only to the people that people know.
I'm all for it.

i guess it comes from what nige said the other day, he borrowed a box of bits to forage thru and pick what he needed, the owner of said box had 3 times as much but got rid of it all, and any of us that run or want to run carbs, have dramas hunting for bits, or bits to try when we're tuning,
it's hard to regulate, hard to value, it's only a thought,
like I have one 48mm choke.. and one Tiny one it's about 22.. not good for much, but if you needed one..
