Hi at the last rally I had a similar problem but instead of the bolts braking i had the chassis fatigue and crack. The two tubes that run through the chassis rail broke free and the whole bracket could move forward and back by about 20mm-30mm.

Luckily did not notice till we got it home and still managed to finish 1st 2WD and 5th outright.

Now i am trying to cut out and rebuild this section but finding it hard to get the placement just right.

supafatto answered most of your questions, not really panning much for the car except building a carport to protect it and then tidying up the shell a bit

i have a efi hardware quad throttle body setup to suit but havent bothered to use it, i dont really want to spend the money on engine management and fuel system, and i am not particularly hungry for more power as im not prepared to spend the time and money to be competitive outright and am happy with how competitive the car has been in it's class

it does have an a14 bottom end and oval port head with larger valves installed, elec dizzy, extractors, thermo fans, just the usual stuff, definately the limitation would be in using the GX SU style setup for carburation

I guess I better make my own. I love the way this car is used. Do you plan on any power mods?

Where did you get that rally bar? Or is it homemade?

The video was great. Nice to see a B series Datsun being rallied. What are you using for rear end? Is it the stock diff welded?

Mike
