There is a PBRXXX under dash booster used in EH, valiants and other cars in the 60s
that will work really well with the sigma setup.

I think Neils setup is better by far and thats the way I would go for more stopping power.
You cant beat billet axles.

I suggest you follow chris's adive on the search and im sure you will come across the sigma conversion. I'm not sure if could use the rear. I have a h165 in the back of mine and im happy with drums on the rear. You could always put a h165 with bluebird disc rear end.

As I mentioned above Im running a drum rear end and its fine. The handbrake works a treat. I have a pic of the linkage that was modded if you you want me to post it up. You need to get rid of that valve and then you might find you can adjust it up alot more. What master are you running?
I would start to look at a full setup on bluebirds and see what different on your car.

Sorry boys, I should clarify the reason of my post.

I currently have sigma brakes on the front. If you guys would like more info I can post up pics. Im looking to get a set of wheels made, BUT!. I also would like to upgrade the front brakes, I was thinking the maddat kit.

So, question 1. Has my track been altered with my current mod?
2. What would then happen to the track with the maddat kit?
3. Would my wheels fit if I was to upgrade brakes at a later date?

Not intending to hijack, hopefully this could also help Gav and others as a search came up a bit short and didnt see the need for 2 1k disk brake threads!
Ive got Magna discs front and Bluebird rear on the wagon. The handbrake hardly works even after much adjusting and both front and back tend to drag and make a hell of a racket when cold. Tomoz and others on here have mentioned someting about a valve that needs removing/modifying, is it the proportioning valve? Dunno much about brakes and Im taking it back into the mechanics for the 3rd time about this problem, any info you could give me to tell him would be appreciated!

I suspect no on both counts But I never checked it with a ruler, if there was a change in track it would be minimal.

I've got a '84 Galant Turbo 2000 (imported 4g63bT GSR sigma) sitting out the front that has factory IRS and rear disks, a friend has said to me that it could all be swapped over fairly easily - are you saying that this could be a reality?

I'll be hoping to put mine together this week sometimes so I can take some dimensions and pictures? At the moment the brake setup belongs to someone else.

Have a search about 1000 disc brakes and throw the word Topgear in there, he had another setup in mind and a list of parts needed.

In all honesty it is fairly straight forward and there are a multitude of options. I've been slack and bought a set, but I figured I'd upgrade shortly after that and look for something more powerful.

As above, looking somebody that knows about sigma front brake conversion for datsun 1000. In particular the mod to the front of my kb10.

Im thinking maybe sidedraught or D could help.

Does this mod change the track in the front?
Would this affect wheel offset?
