Thanks Neil, If it was a real car like a Caddy Id prob go to the US myself :)
No offence but Datsuns are not in the same league as say a 1937 Talbot-Lago or v16 cadillac. Yet I love them and instead of a 5 speed with the big bore a12 all it needs really is a good 3.5 H150 centre, 3mm spacer on the h145. Depending on the prices and availability, Chris (PNG) and others might be interested also.

Id prefer the 3.545 as I have a 3.9 in at the moment from DatsAndy.
Can you pm me what you want for the 3.7 just in case I change my mind? :)

I'm not too sure D but they'd cost a couple hundred absolute minimum. I'm still deciding to get one or not.

There is a guy here who says he has them. Same old story really, whole heap of Datsuns, lots of spares, a fair few 1000's lying about. I just haven't had the time to go round and check them out to confirm.
But the difference between a 3.7 & 3.9 is fairly unnoticeable no?

The 1000 never came with h150 3.7 as you know
so Im surprised unless they are from other things. The difference wouldnt be much hence my search for the American 3.545
