if you just purchase the x-member and mounts from them, you'll need there g/box tunnel aswell, my engineer said 10mm clearence off back wall, but ive gone 25mm to allow all pipe run around the back of the motor...still plenty room up front for the cooler/radiator

your gonna be in all sorts if you dont get a larger tunnel. unless its a automatica tunnel then it might be okay, but why would you bother spending all this money on this conversion when your not even gonna do it properly by cutting the tunnel? do it once do it right and dont be a tightass...

yeah ive got the trans tunnel as well but there is no way with the gearbox mounted in the correct position that the engine is gunna clear the firewall, after satring at it for a few hours it looks like it needs to come forward about 10 mm and maybe sit down 5-10mm too. not sure if i want to cut the maddat welds and reweld thats sort of why i bought it in the first place, so it would fit without any issues

you have 2 options...
1. you can go to a perfromance shop that dose conversions and will make you one to fit to what you have and measure every aspect and get a good very thick xmember, but you know its done to suit everything you need.. 2. buy a maddat kit and hope your chassis is not twisted and everything is on the money, worse case you gotta start spending $$ to aline everything. you chose i did not bother with a maddat kit for my 13b rotary as my mechaic said he can make better and work around what i needed done ie: lower the engine more/raise more, supra gearbox xmember mounts, tailsharft measurements and i got a good deal for a quailfied performance shop to measure and line up everything from raidiator, engine, gearbox, tailsharft, everything in the drive train for $2500 oh and a very large gearbox tunnel welded to the floor. now i just need very basic wiring as my car in not injected but carbureted... so basicly is it worth the hassel and stress and bleeding knuckles when there are ppl out there who can do it for a lil bit of $$, but done 100% You can view topic.
