any more details on the engine...like what size it is now and such?

it basically is a L22b...was bored and stroked to 2.2, has ka24 flat top forge pistons and ka24 crank, head had a bit of work done to it, but was a virgin head and no corrosion on it at all. Had a hot cam in when i had it but from memory robert has put a bigger cam in to go with his bigger webers. Double valve springs, basically anything i could do did get done till i ran out of money and patients

it also runs a very high compression ratio.....im sure robert can give the number of the last compression test hehehe

yeah like the gauge nearly blew up when we tried to copm test it. lol my mate didnt wanna test it again. the motor is pretty much as datski said the only difference now is that it has an electronic dizzy, twin 45 oer's on a sanyo inlet manifold new exhaust, new tyres, new led tail lights, ute has sides for it as well as another whole ute with a style side tub plus stacks of spares.

And as for mark bonham at mandurah performance dont take any of your cars there, that guy. is a joke, i had my ,L18 made fit there it cost 3,500 plus to do and he didnt even give it a tune, i drove of the lot and my indicators stopped working ( one job which he was meant to do) he just told me to keep driving. so we ended up finding the prob real pro he is, he had twitched the wires together and the had come undone, thats his idea of fixed BAH! plus heaps of other stuff like bolts not even done up. just crazy #OOPS#. the stuff you expect a mechanic to do.

wouldnt it be 2.4 litre if it had both the ka24 pistons and crank?

i say it needs a dyno run...just for the hell of it

if it had a different head and conrods yes it would be and a few other minor adjustments but it is only a 2.2....the 2.4 has a bigger bore as well with bigger rings but same pistons from memory.
