1000 UTE CONVERSTION

Hey guys
Just seeing if any of you guys have got a 1000 of some sort registered with a CA18DET in it as i have aquired a 1000 ute and would like to put a CA in it. Any help would be great. Cheers

The power to weight ratio would be the killer here. I doubt it could be legally registered without an engineers certificate & significant upgrades in brakes & suspension. It's got a leaf spring front end. Most states don't seem to allow more than an A14 in them without an engineers certificate. A friend has one in a shed & has plans to put an A15 into it, but I reckon a good torquey A14 would be just as much fun & far simpler to make both legal & safe. I mean they only weight 600 kg's on the rego papers, how much power to you need to make one go quick. Not much.

I have to get it all mod plated and #OOPS# anyways to put a a14 in it so i was just gonna go all out and put a ca in haha

yea i think cos they got the leaf spring front end its pretty limited what engines you can put in legally. does anybody know if its legal to install a coilover type front end? cos im wanna do the same sorta thing

do it!!!! i want to see a CA powered thou ,it would be a tight fit but would be worth it !
