It may be slightly off the datsun subject but I was wondering if some of you have engines (eg. SR20) that have variable valve timing.
If so how does it compare to something similar.

Similarly has anyone seen or heard some of the new engines (generally BMW, SAAB) that have variable valve timing, variable valve lift, adjustable displacement and
variable inlet manifold lengths. I know the V-TEC sounds good when given a caining and I would expect these would sound equally good (if in a 1200 of coarse)

And yes SAAB is 1 of the leaders in engine technology for cars anyway. Go figure.
