I've had both - the TW one which looks exactly like that one you've got there - however that may have just been a poor quality Nissan bumper - who knows?
My original ute bumper is on ebay - it has no crease marks etc and looks like Datsun wanted it to look like when fitted, not like these huge oversized TW knock off ones.

The bumpers we sell are genuine Nissan bumpers, they are better than the ebay ones, but they seem to be not as good as the originals.
Ebay ones are 1.2mm thick, original ones are 1.4mm, and the new Genuine ones are 1.8mm thick. The chrome work is nice, but there are some press marks on the underside corners.
If you want a new bar these will be the best avalible, or have your original one re-chromed.

We have offered Jordan a full refund, as long as we recieve it back in a undamaged condition. (what more can we offer)

You will notice with a lot of the replacement parts that Nissan sell, the quality is not to the standard of the original item. They are not trying to sell the cars new any more, so parts arnt the same standard.

Nissan are cutting ther parts all the time, so soon they may not be avalible at all.

Dont parts get checked before getting sent off. If i parted with 10k i would want everything to be checked for quality and function. Its only fare when buying parts. My two cents

Yes all parts are checked before shipment, this is not one bar we are talking about, all the genuine bars are the same, i have one on my car.
we are just on selling a genuine Nissan product, as said above we have offered a refund.

I didn't paint mine white - it was already like that - Thats why I bought a Taiwanese copy and it was terrible! Original and re chroming is the only way to go if you are that fussy with replacement parts.
I don't get why you don't buy mine or get another original or your old one and re chrome it?!?

email from maddat

I'm sorry that what you have received isn't what you anticipated. If you want to return it for a refund you can do that if you cover the return freight. If the item is damaged on return we will also consider this when giving your refund so ensure packaging is sufficient.
................................................

so that's not a full refund has i would of then paid for post to me and post back to you, and you might turn around and say its damaged, on the other hand when i brought a gen nissan fender from u and it arived dented it was my problem .

The chrome work is #OOPS#house, and there are press marks all over it pic's dont show it that well and then sliver paint around the number plate holes , has u would know and maybe you should tell people this befor they buy wat they think to be a high quality gen nissan part

Considering we are now in 2010, I estimate getting a very good condition original bumper to OEM spec will cost > $400 + purchase cost. When I did my Sedan's rear bar in 2002, I paid $360 + $100 (purchase), and the bar had only one small dint it. This was 8 years ago. I'm still VERY happy with the quality of the job and it still looks like brand new.

It's a shame that the front bars from Nissan have gotten so bad. But it goes to show that if you are going to spend $20k on a project, don't start with a $500 wreck. If you are serious about long term ownership, start with the most pristine stocker you can afford.
