This car is the Australian produced Chrysler 'Valiant' Charger.
In the rest of the world, Valiants were a Plymouth model but the Plymouth name isn't so well known here, so they were sold as Chryslers.
The body is unique to Aussie production & is 6" shorter in the wheelbase than the standard Valiant sedan, In this case the rear axle was brought forward when the floorpan was shortened.
The other Charger that was known in Canada is the legendary Dodge Charger, a different car altogether.
What is it with Datsun owners & Chrysler cars?
Many of us own other cars but it is surprising how many of us are strong Mopar freaks.
I have a couple of older Dodges with V8 Mopar power, one of which will [eventually] get the Dodge V8 Hemi that I have in the shed.
