I don't believe 1200 utes are overpriced.I have had 7 as daily's over the past 30 years and have never paid too much for any of them. My present one is a 71 model and I paid $1800 for it with a reco 1400, 8 months reg and a roadworthy. Utes of any sort always bring bigger money than a sedan and with their reliability, fuel economy and being easy to drive and park makes them very desirable. Probably becoming a bit of a cult thing over the past 10 years has probably raised the price a bit. Thats my thoughts.

Hey mopar, I remember your coupe from a few photo's from a cruise in someones album somewhere. Similar/same colour to my 1000. Depending on the condition of the interior and' originality' of it, I would think AUD$5500-7000 would be a minimum.

G'day all,

I know you're talking 1200 utes but how much are 1000 utes worth? I have nearly completed a bare shell rebuild on one to rat rod style. Also, how much do you think a concourse 1000 coupe would be worth? Interested to get your thoughts.

Cheers
Mark.

Utes has generally always had a better opportunity than the sedan, watching a VS ute from the VS sedan and say how long the HQ-HZ ter held their value. They seem to finally have a death rusty now.

Were so many more sold than the Mazda and Toyada equivalents back in the day? Theyre scarce compared.
Plus the fact that your nearest competition these days is a Proton Jumbuck...

Any popular car that is no longer made, means that good examples will fetch more. A fully original in good condition car might save you $10,000 - 15,000 on a rebuild.

Unless you've done a ground up rebuild of a $500 wreck.. you can't imagine how quickly the expenses add up. No matter how handy you are.. even your own time comes at an expense.

They are so great, they are a bargain at $5000. I paid a lot more than that for mine.
