i thought all A series motors blow smoke haha ,i noticed that when i started my A12 on the ground with no rocker cover or crankcase ventalation hooked up it tended to get abit smokey
could it also be the oil might need changing aswell as the pcv valve being installed ?

Haha, love your approach to the engine rebuild.
How much would you charge for a rebuild around about bige? or what would a re-build kit cost from you without the pistons (which are 1.5mm oversize by the way).

give me a list of bits u need and sizes eg/ rings/bearings/gaskets/timing chain kit/ cam ,lifters/etc ,what engine is it, cheers

not that it's related in anyway to this but the other night my oil cap blew off the car and I ran over it! I went to check the catch can cos it's got an "atmospheric release mesh device" on the top of it and the tubing to it was harder than usual.
