We've had some heavy rain yesterday and through the night ... This morning i have a puddle (close to .5L) of water in the passengers footwell ...

I had a look at it last night and it was leaking from on top of the glove box ... On the inside the of the windscreen where the glass meets rubber there was a water the whole way round ...

Are there any tricks to find and filling the gap? Or am i better of buying a new seal/rubber and getting it replaced by a glazier?

Hamza (very frustrated)

Filling it never seems to work well, or for very long.

If you can get the glass out without breaking it, a thorough cleaning and putting it back together usually fixes it. But you risk breaking the glass.

and finding rust in the windscreen surronds, water travels and usually not from the place it visably appears in the car.

After closer inspection it looks like there is a lot of dirt in the seal ...

Doesnt look like any sealant was used at all ...

Personally I'd be taking the windscreen out and looking for rust damage! That's the most common cause AND result of a leaky windscreen.

I think the back ones leaking too ... there was a puddle under the drivers seat (lucky i've take out the carpet)

Any tips on how to take it out?

Ill give it a shot to save some $, but if im going to risk breaking the glass then i'd rather pay the $ and get it done properly ...

Ok im going to give cleaning and sealing it a shot without removing it ...

Do i need to seal only between the glass and the rubber or between the rubber and the body as well?
