My 120y project to be updated as it comes along.
Heres the basics.
its a '76 120y sedan to be fitted with:
sr20 vvt.
s13/180sx dash.
r31 diff shortened to suit.

the story begins with my project getting delivered on the back of a tow truck. blocked of my street with the truck trying to position it to get it through into shed. started stripping the car back first impressions look promising. a little rust but nothing structural or of too much concern.
after being delivered under the cloak of darkness on a friday spent a couple of hours the following sat and sunday stripping it down after 4 hours front end was stripped and engine removed.
front end removed, bagged, tagged and labelled for easy storage.

so the interior has been removed. dash, seats, carpet, windscreen is all out. i have picked up several of the parts i needed for some of the mods i want to do. i picked up a 180sx dash for 20bucks being so cheap i dont feel so bad about cutting it up. a r31 diff just gonna pop it into the shed until im ready to cut it down. have picked up a set of r33 rear seats gonna see if the fit? they were free so i thought why not. also have sourced a sr20 vvt . its all coming together nicely atm considering its only day 5 thats probably expected lol.

What is your plans regarding the gearbox on the SR20VE. My project page would be able to help you, I just went threw the SR20VE in RWD configuration with a S14 gearbox.

just had a read through. nice work and thanks for the support. will let you know as it comes along. not sure on gearbox plans the engine was a good buy so i snapped it up.
engine is going for recon before it goes in so will be a little while yet. trying to get all the body and interior work done before i start with fitting the engine diff etc.

While the motor is in for the recon, consider a set of SR16VE or N1 pistons to up the compression ratio and a set of N1 cams, if you feel that you will need more power. My biggest issue on the motor side is the induction, need to get a plan on that, maybe do a quick job on the standard intake, just swap it around and then later on fit a set of Martin Bruwer 48mm Throttles.
