Killrust is durable, and sticks well to most things, but it has 2 drawbacks (and I better say for the record, that I still choose to use it) - namely that it tends to fade pretty easily in the sun, and being enamel (epoxy enamel, which is far more resilient than regular enamel) if you wanted to repaint it in anything else, you have to strip every last spec of the killrust off there, can't just rub it back a bit and apply acrylic over it.
