Im trying to find a suitable steering wheel! any suggestions.. remember its a drag/fun car. i was thinking something along the lines of woodgrain? i think it will suit the interior. the nardi ones are nice..

ok bit of an update! due to the cage being a day late and not getting my stanza arms etc in the mail yesty, i didnt get a whole deal done.. but i did get the door trims on, made up the coilovers, got tyres put on the rims and i got my axles back from being shortened. also boxed up the boot ready for when my fuel cell and pumps etc arrive..

I dummy fitted up the front brakes too, they look huge on the car! the front wheels are sticking out the guards atm, but with them adjusted and the lca's in it should all work out.

heres some pics

bit more of an update.. because im bored lol.

Started putting in the cage, had to take the bloody interior out to put it in which was a pain! but ah well.. coming along pretty good, taxi bar is tacked in, just have to run the 2 rear bars and the side intrusions.
Also got my fuel cell so i dummy fitted it up, the rear bars for the cage will pass along each side of the cell.

Got some 4.11 diff gears for the rear, will have it all together and fitted on the weekend, also finally got some stanza LCA's and steering arms! so the front end will be together over the weekend also. Busy times ahead.

Nice Job so far.

Quick Question: What are you doing about cooling the transmission fluid - I don't see an extra radiator in there?

haha i have been thinking about that for months, ill prob be running a trans cooler mounted underneath with its own fan, thats about the only option i have as there is no other room for it! The OKE020 corolla uses the same setup and runs 7.90's so i think it will be fine

ive come to the conclusion that guys that install rollcages are crack addicts!.. it would have to be the #OOPS#test job in the world, right up there with packing wheel bearings haha..

anyways the cage will be done by the weekend and my interior put back in, coming up quite well but im not happy with some of the welds that were hard to get too, hopefully they pass tech inspection lol.

also scored myself a Nardi woodgrain wheel, i think it will look the goods, if not ill sell it lol..

Ill be in sydney for the jamboree/compak attak over the weekend for some inspiration! and ill have it rolling next week.. ill get some new pics up the next few days

Wardy
