i plan to come down again. i know what you mean about the cash. i went crazy building mine. only took 4 months. some endless night in the garage. have you already got a liberty geared toploader or are you getting it done. id be keen to see how much they charge to do it

Yeh tell me about it, I'll be happy when my car is done so I can actually save some cash!
I have the gearbox already, has the adaptor and s4/5 bellhousing fitted. Also has a vertical gate shifter. It's just stock internally atm, but I called liberty and it's around $600 for the liberty gear mod and new sliders to suit.

I have got one I'm putting in Monday to give a try. There were some cool shifters on eBay a bit better then vgate for them. If I like it I have found a box to buy with liberty gears and dog rings.

Ah yeh good stuff! have to report back on how it drives lol.. The shifter you talking about the sequential ones? My old man has a standard shifter fitted to a toploader in his panel van, and god its #OOPS# to drive!

Looks like the rest of my CA parts are sold so i should be getting the engine next weekend! cant wait
