Bolted in sparco seats and noticed that the steering wheel appears to be off centre, more towards the middle of the car, and its quite awkward to drive. Bolted the standard seat back in and it does appear the steering wheel is off centre just that you are not held in such a fixed position as you are with the the sparco's and so its less noticeable. Has anyone else had this? is it normal? The car has never been in a major accidents

yeah i noticed it slightly when i put my fixed back seats in
but i dont feel awkward driving it at all...

fixed back seats are generally narrower than standard seats,
so you can mount them closer to your tunnel if its not ginourmous.

Ive just spent the last 2 months with this headache. The original 1k seats were offset towards the centre from the mounts, something I didn't notice when I put in my Cobras. So remade the mounts and offset them, then ran into trouble with the flange of the seats hitting the trans tunnel rib xmember thing (?tech term) restricting the forward/back adjustment...so I compensated by spacing them...its still not centre and a little high but waaaay better than it was. Ive heard this happen to other makes of cars when after market seats are fitted, but apparently you get used to it. I wouldnt know yet cos I spent so long stuffing around that it ran outta rego :/
