When the local council screwed me a couple of years ago I had 9 X 1200's, 4 X sunnys, 3 X 120y, 4 X 180b, 2 X 200b, plus the 43 others of various types that went to the scrapies. No wonder my neighbour hates me, think I would hate me as a neighbour too. Most datto's went to good homes.Bloody council pricks.

I think the age of pick-apart is going to come to a close soon, as it is it's very risky with liability insurance for the businesses. Just last week I was shocked to upset to hear one of the workers at my favorite wreckers died while working on a car there. I can imagine the result will be increased scruitiniy from WH&S and more hassles then they need.

Got a few more parts today, and bunch of photos of Datsun/Nissan parts.

There was a Subaru Outback there today.

I found out over the weekend that my favorite wreckers is shutting down for good after this accident :( I doubt they'll even let me in there to check over the parts I could use before they cube everything.

It's a tragedy, there is no good conclusion to an accident like that.

I don't want to be selfish about it but this is going to affect alot of people in the area with classic cars cos no one else has old valiants, fords, holdens, toyotas, mazdas, subarus, ect

yes the yards are getting fewer I think a combination of council land rates going up and the mobil crushers paying cash for whole cars.
the guys in my Classic Club relying on word of mouth on who has a stock of bits in their back yard.
