G'day!

new to the forum, what a great site it is. I got hold of an '85 1200 ute a few weeks ago. All standard except for the rims. It is going to get a ca18det, skyline lsd, sigma turbo rims, repaint, fresh interior. I have sourced most parts already, and have started stripping the old girl. Hopefully will be completed in the next couple of months, see how I go juggling this and work commitments. Any perth people out there give us a shout out. Any advice from someone who has already doe this conversion will be greatly appreciated. My skills are minimal so I'll be paying for most things to be done. Any painters/welders/engineers out there? Hopefully give regular updates and get another datsun on the streets of perth. Cheers.

hey good to hear another in perth seeing some attention.... there has been quite a few people with the ca's just use the search engine as there is plenty of info around or talk to bail, perthute, or estyre as they all have either done it or doing it.

as for and engineer here in perth jack apgar is the best that i know of, he comes to my work all the time to pass all our vehicles

not on hand....should be able to get him in the white/yellow pages, he does most engineering here in perth for the dpi

hey damo good to hear your going ahead with the convertion ,most the perth guys are realy helpful and have heaps of knowledge on this convertion ,it has been done several times in perth but im not sure how many have been engineered

im sure jesse has heaps of parts that you may want/or need and plenty of knowledge now after all the work done to the coupe

yeah so i saw the other day, was down there contemplating his engine for sale. coupe is going to be a wild machine, and the ute is a nice street car.
